Widespread damage and flooding occurred in the Philippines after Typhoon Fung-wong made landfall in the Aurora province on 09 November. The storm has caused four casualties and forced the evacuation of more than a million people. Typhoon Fung-won hit the Philippines just days after Typhoon Kalmaegi caused large-scale destruction and over 200 casualties. Authorities have begun rescue and relief operations. The storm has caused significant transport and power supply disruptions, which are likely to continue until disaster response operations are complete. The typhoon is likely to weaken as it moves towards Taiwan. Moderate to heavy rainfall is likely in parts of the Philippines until 11 November.
