Heavy rainfall in Jakarta and the surrounding areas over the past few days has caused flooding in various regions. According to the Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), 39 neighbourhood units in Jakarta were affected by flooding on 30 January. The rainfall has caused the Ciliwung and Mookervart rivers to overflow, leading to inundation in West and South Jakarta. Traffic has been significantly disrupted due to flooding on road sections. The rainfall is likely to persist in the region for the next few days. The Jakarta Provincial Government has issued work from home and distance learning orders until 01 February.
