Sudan: RSF Paramilitary Agrees to Humanitarian Truce Proposal

RSF Paramilitary Agrees to Humanitarian Truce Proposal
Sudan’s paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) announced their acceptance of a humanitarian truce proposed by the United States, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Egypt on 06 November. The proposal reportedly outlines a three-month humanitarian ceasefire to facilitate urgent aid delivery, followed by a permanent ceasefire and transition to civilian rule. While the RSF has agreed, the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) have not immediately responded. Considering the failure of past ceasefires and the humanitarian crisis, the implementation of this agreement is crucial for civilian protection but remains high-risk and uncertain.
