Middle East Conflict Continues to Escalate on the Fifth Day
Regional tensions in the Middle East persisted for the fifth consecutive day on 04 March. The United States and Israel have claimed that around 2,000 Iranian military targets were struck. On the other hand, Iran has continued retaliatory strikes on Israel and US military bases in countries like Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia. The US has closed its embassies in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Lebanon after several were targeted by Iranian strikes. US-based Human Rights Activists News Agency has reported more than 1,000 casualties in Iran since 28 February. Air travel remains disrupted due to the escalation, while oil and natural gas prices continue rising.
