Anti-government protests targeting Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic were reported across Serbia on Wednesday. Clashes erupted for a second day between protesters and supporters of the President in the northern city of Novi Sad, where flares were reportedly used. Demonstrations were also held in Belgrade and in other cities including Kraljevo, Kragujevac, Cacak, and Nis. The student-led protests, which began in November 2024, were sparked by the collapse of a train station canopy that killed 16 people, leading to accusations of corruption in state infrastructure projects.
