Lithuania Reopens Belarus Border After Tensions Over Balloon Incidents
Lithuania has reopened two out of the six border crossings with Belarus on 20 November. The borders were closed in late October in response to multiple incursions by balloons flying from Belarus that disrupted air traffic in Lithuania. The decision to reopen the border follows a decrease in airspace disruptions and is expected to ease the return of Lithuanian trucks from Belarus and resume trade across the border.
