Torrential rainfall and strong winds across Greece have caused widespread disruptions, flooding, and two casualties. The storm was centred in the Attica region. Over 100 mm of rainfall was recorded in Spetses and over 140 mm in Megara and other parts of Attica. The rainfall and inundation have significantly disrupted transport systems, particularly the road network in central Athens. Power outages occurred in several parts of Athens. The storm system is expected to shift eastward towards the Aegean islands, bringing storm surges and gusty winds. Authorities have begun disaster management operations and remain on high alert.
