Bulgaria Joins Eurozone After Adopting Euro as New Currency
Bulgaria has become the 21st member of the Eurozone currency union after officially replacing its currency from lev to euro on 01 January. While the transition aims to enhance economic stability and attract foreign investment, it still faces opposition in some sectors due to concerns that it could lead to potential inflation and worsen the ongoing political instability. Throughout January, payments can be made both in lev and euros, but payments in lev will not be permitted from 01 February.
