Severe Tropical Storm Verbena (Koto) strengthened as it moved away from Palawan province on 26 November, with sustained winds of 95 km/hr. Verbena made an initial landfall in Bayabas on 24 November as a tropical depression and later made six more landfalls as it moved across the country. Over the past few days, the storm brought moderate to intense rainfall in various parts of the Philippines, including Metro Manila, Cavite and Rizal, triggering localized flooding. The storm is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by 27 November and is forecast to continue causing rainfall in some parts of the country until 29 November.
