Torrential rainfall, storm surges, and flooding occurred in various parts of Central Philippines as Typhoon Kalmaegi moved through the region on 04 November. The storm made landfall in Silago town in the eastern province of Southern Leyte and moved over the city of Sagay in central Negros Occidental province with sustained winds of up to 150 km. The typhoon led to one casualty in Southern Leyte, the displacement of thousands of people, power outages, and travel disruptions. The storm is forecast to move across the Visayas islands and out over the South China Sea by 05 November.
