A black rainstorm warning, the highest-level alert, has been issued in Hong Kong, China on 05 August. More than 350mm of rain drenched Hong Kong as of 14:00 hours local time, marking the highest daily rainfall for August since 1884. The weather caused widespread flooding in key urban areas and resulted in significant disruptions to public services, including the suspension of schools, courts, and parts of the transportation network.
