South Korean Parliament to Finalise US Investment Fund Bill by 09 March
South Korea’s National Assembly has agreed to finalize a bill regarding investments in the United States, under the US-South Korea trade deal, by 09 March. A special committee will be set on 09 February to draft the bill. The confirmation follows US President Donald Trump’s announcement on 27 January that he would hike tariffs on South Korean goods due to a delay in enacting the trade deal agreed between the countries. The trade deal includes South Korea investing USD 350 billion in the US in exchange for the US lowering tariffs on South Korean automobiles.
