Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that India and France have agreed to elevate their ties to a special global strategic partnership. The announcement follows a meeting between PM Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron in Mumbai during the latter’s three-day visit to India. The countries also signed 21 agreements and declarations, including those for helicopter manufacturing, missile production, artificial intelligence in healthcare, critical minerals, and biotechnology.
