India, Brazil Sign New Agreements to Deepen Trade Ties
India and Brazil have signed ten agreements across areas, including critical minerals, digital cooperation, health, and mass communication. The decision follows discussions between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, focused on strengthening the bilateral strategic partnerships between the countries during the latter’s visit to India on 21 February. The leaders have committed to increasing bilateral trade to over USD 20 billion within the next five years. The agreement for critical minerals is crucial for India as it seeks to limit its dependence on China.
