China and Uruguay have signed around 12 agreements to enhance strategic partnership and cooperation in areas, including economy, trade, finance, artificial intelligence, agriculture, and infrastructure construction. The agreement followed a meeting between China’s President Xi Jinping and Uruguay’s President Yamandu Orsi, during the latter’s bilateral visit to Beijing. Through the new agreements, Uruguay aims to increase trade and investments in services through diversification.
