Campus Shooting at Brown University
A mass shooting occurred in the Barus and Holley Engineering Building at Brown University on 13 December. The attack resulted in two casualties and injuries to nine people. The incident triggered a large-scale law enforcement response and a campus-wide shelter-in-place order, which was lifted on 14 December. Although a person of interest was initially detained, they were later released due to insufficient evidence. Classes and exams have been cancelled following the incident. Heightened security activity remains active as the investigation continues.
