Authorities in all threatened nations have issued warnings and activated shelters. Jamaican authorities have warned about potential damage to infrastructure, power, and communication outages, and isolation of communities. The hurricane is expected to move towards Cuba by 28 October and further to the Bahamas by 29 October.
