Airbus reported that most of the roughly 6,000 A320 family fleet requiring a safety-related software modification have been updated, following a sudden recall of the aircrafts as a vulnerability to solar flares emerged. The recall, issued on 28 November, affected hundreds of flights globally, including multiple cancellations in the United States, Japan, India and Indonesia. Although the issue has largely been resolved, flight disruptions may continue. The incident underscores critical infrastructure vulnerabilities that could cause significant operational challenges.
