Graphic Designer

Job Description

The position of graphic designer in MitKat will be responsible for creating design solutions. The role involves interacting with clients and understanding their needs before making design decisions. A graphic designer will work to a brief agreed upon with the clients and director. He will develop creative ideas and concepts, choosing the appropriate media and style to meet the MitKat client's objectives.
Role requirements
Any Graduate with 2-4 years of experience in Graphic design Keeping abreast of emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and MS-Office Creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs, and deadlines
Key Accountabilities
  • Meeting clients and senior management to discuss the business objectives and requirements of the project.
  • Interpreting the client's business needs and developing a concept to suit their purpose.
  • Estimating the time required to complete the work and providing quotes for clients.
  • Developing design briefs by gathering information and data through research.
  • Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts.
  • Using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time.
  • Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work.
  • Contributing ideas and design artwork to the overall brief.
  • Working on layouts and art working pages ready for print.
  • Working as part of a team with printers, copywriters, account executives, web developers, and marketing team.
