Job Description

MitKat is seeking a Transport Security Executive for its esteemed Global IT MNC Client. This role will be embedded within the Transport Command Center (TCC) team.

Role:

The Transport Security Executive will be instrumental in ensuring the safety and security of transport operations by implementing robust protocols and proactive measures. The ideal candidate will oversee transport compliance, manage relationships with transport vendors, and monitor potential threats to travel and transport security, both physical and geopolitical.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Transport Security Executive will be accountable for:
Transport Compliance & Vendor Management:
  • Ensure adherence to transport compliance standards and regulations, overseeing the implementation of established SOPs.
  • Manage relationships with transportation vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring services meet quality and security standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to verify compliance with safety and regulatory requirements in transport operations.
Incident Reporting & Response:
  • Promptly log and report transport-related incidents, adhering to predefined procedures and documentation standards.
  • Respond to transport security incidents promptly, coordinating with relevant stakeholders and initiating necessary actions.
  • Implement escalation procedures for critical incidents, ensuring timely resolution and mitigation of risks.
Threat Monitoring & Mitigation:
  • Monitor external physical and geopolitical threats that may affect transport operations, staying abreast of global events and trends.
  • Analyze potential risks and vulnerabilities in transport routes and destinations, developing strategies to mitigate identified threats.
  • Collaborate with security teams to implement security measures and protocols aimed at enhancing transport security.
Transport security Policies & Procedures:
  • Develop and maintain transport security policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and organizational goals.
  • Provide training and guidance to transport personnel on security protocols and emergency response procedures.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and updates of travel security policies to adapt to evolving threats and regulations.
Basic Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience of 2-4 years in a similar role, preferably in transport operations, logistics, or emergency response.
  • Strong understanding of transport operations and associated SOPs, with a focus on safety and compliance.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, especially during incident response scenarios.
  • Familiarity with incident management systems and tools for logging and tracking incidents.
  • Knowledge of geopolitical factors and their potential impact on transport operations is desirable.
