French President Macron to Visit South Korea in April
French President Emmanuel Macron is scheduled to visit South Korea from 02-03 April at the invitation of South Korean President Lee Jae Myung. The trip marks the first visit by a French president to South Korea in 11 years and first European leader’s visit since the start of President Lee’s administration. During the visit, President Lee will hold a summit with President Macron to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation in trade, investments, artificial intelligence, and nuclear energy. The leaders are also expected to discuss issues such as security in the Korean Peninsula and ongoing regional tensions in the Middle East.
