Turkey will deploy six F-16 fighter jets to Northern Cyprus on 09 March to enhance defence measures for the Turkish community in Cyprus. The decision comes amid the escalation of regional tensions in the Middle East. A British military airbase was targeted by drones on 02 March after the start of the military campaign by the US and Israel against Iran. Various other countries, including Greece and France, have also deployed military assets to Cyprus following the drone attack.
