Switzerland and EU Plan to Deepen Security and Defence Cooperation
Switzerland and the European Union have stated that they plan to deepen security and defence cooperation in a joint declaration, following talks between Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis and EU Foreign Policy Chief Kaja Kallas in Zurich. According to the declaration, top diplomats from both sides aim to hold annual dialogues and increase the exchange of information regarding issues and regions of interest, including Ukraine and the Middle East. The issues of common interest include human rights, peace mediation, multilateral affairs, and crisis management.
