The United States and Iran are scheduled to meet in Geneva on 26 February for the third round of indirect talks regarding Iran’s nuclear programme. The talk will be attended by US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, and mediated by Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi. The diplomatic engagement comes amid a US military build-up in the Middle East and concerns about regional escalations. Iran has proposed some concessions to its nuclear programme; however, it is unclear which conditions would be approved by the US.
