Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his two-day state visit to Israel on 25 February. This visit marks PM Modi’s second visit to Israel since his visit in 2017. PM Modi is expected to meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog. The prime ministers of both countries are expected to review the India-Israel Strategic Partnership and discuss further opportunities for cooperation in sectors like defence, agriculture, trade, and science. PM Modi will also address the Israeli Parliament, making him the first Indian leader to do so. While the visit is expected to improve India-Israel ties, it would be crucial for India to balance its ties with Israel and Middle Eastern countries, which are critical of Israel.
