Australia: Bushfires Damage Multiple Homes in New South Wales

Intense bushfires, driven by extreme temperatures and erratic wind conditions, destroyed residential properties across New South Wales over the weekend. One volunteer firefighter died during emergency operations. The blazes have forced mass evacuations and triggered major road closures. Officials have downgraded fire danger alerts on 08 December, but persistent high temperatures could raise the alert level. Firefighting operations continue to extinguish around 50 ongoing fires in the region.
