India: Disruption Continues as IndiGo Cancels more than 500 Flights
India’s largest airline, IndiGo, cancelled over 500 flights as of 05 December across major hubs, including Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, marking the third day of massive disruption. The crisis is attributed to the airline’s miscalculation and planning lapses during the rollout of updated Flight Duty Time Limitations (FDTL) rules, resulting in a severe crew shortage. IndiGo has warned that service reductions will continue through 08 December, with full stability not expected until 10 February 2026.
