Blaze in Hong Kong Causes at least 55 Casualties
A fire at the Wang Fuk housing complex in Tai Po district, Hong Kong, has resulted in 55 confirmed casualties and over 270 missing people. The fire, which spread rapidly across seven towers, was reportedly fueled by flammable bamboo scaffolding and construction materials used during ongoing renovations. Firefighting and rescue operations continue, with the blaze controlled in four buildings as of early hours of 27 November. Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.
