Tropical Cyclone Fina, which strengthened to a Category Two system, is tracking toward the Northern Territory (NT) coast. The storm is expected to impact various regions on the coast, including the Tiwi Islands, Cobourg Peninsula and Darwin over the weekend. The cyclone is forecast to bring destructive wind gusts up to 164 km/h, torrential rain, flash flooding and storm surges. Flights are subject to cancellation, major highways face inundation, and businesses may face operational disruptions due to the storm. The federal government has activated emergency response and deployed officials to support disaster management operations.
