Russia launched intensive overnight missile and drone strikes targeting the Kharkiv and Odesa regions in Ukraine. In the town of Balakliya in Kharkiv, a missile attack on a residential area killed three people and injured at least 11. Separately, drone strikes hit Odesa, causing fires at energy and port infrastructure and leaving over 32,000 customers without power. The renewed strikes on critical infrastructure and civilian areas could degrade Ukraine’s energy grid ahead of winter, posing severe humanitarian and operational risks.
