UK Prime Minister Starmer in India to Boost Business Relations
On 08 October, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer began a two-day visit to India, accompanied by over 100 business and academic leaders. The trip aims to accelerate trade and investment following the India-UK Free Trade Agreement signed in July 2025. Discussions will focus on implementing the FTA to achieve a bilateral trade target of USD 100 billion by 2030. Key sectors include finance, technology, and defence cooperation. On 09 October, Prime Ministers Modi and Starmer are scheduled to give keynote speeches at the Global Fintech Fest in Mumbai and meet with business leaders.
