On 02 October, multiple drone sightings forced German air traffic control to suspend operations at Munich Airport, disrupting travel for around 3,000 passengers. The breach of critical infrastructure resulted in 17 cancellations and 15 diversions, before operations resumed early on 03 October morning. The disruption in Munich, a hub for German flagship airline Lufthansa, is the latest in a string of drone incidents rattling European aviation and raising broader security concerns, following airspace intrusions that temporarily shut airports in Denmark and Norway last week.
