Denmark Bans Civilian Drone Flights

Denmark announced a nationwide ban on all civilian drone flights from 29 September to 03 October, citing a “difficult security situation.” The ban follows a week of mysterious drone incursions over multiple civilian airports and military sites, which Danish authorities have described as a “hybrid attack.” The measure is designed to secure the airspace ahead of the EU Summit (01 October) and the European Political Community Summit (02 October) taking place in Copenhagen and is supported by NATO and the deployment of a German air defense frigate.
