Computer Applications Engineer

Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Computer Applications Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing software applications related to Physical Security Systems (e.g., PIAM – Access Control Systems, Milestone – Video Management Application, Command Centre Application, BI and AI tools). This role blends technical proficiency, creative problem-solving, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. The candidate will manage issues, troubleshoot, and ensure application functionality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain software applications to meet the needs of the organization.

- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure reliability and functionality of applications.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for application-related issues.
- Maintain and improve the performance of existing software applications.
- Document application management processes, including designs, workflows, and troubleshooting steps.
- Coordinate with relevant teams to gather Root Cause Analysis (RCAs) when issues arise.
- Report defects, monitor the operational status of applications, and ensure effective issue resolution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. · Practical knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
- Relevant experience in Physical Security Systems or Electronic Security Systems.
- Ability to operate effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Familiarity with IoT Security.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python).
- Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of Integrated Development Environments (IDEs).
- Ability to operate effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Good understanding of APIs and SDKs.
- Familiarity with IP addressing, VLAN, L2 switches, Routers, and Firewalls.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency with Gen AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to enhance productivity.
- Ability to create reports, documents, and presentations.
Additional Information:
- The role requires effective communication skills, both in spoken and written formats, along with the ability to manage emails and communications efficiently.
- Although the designation is Computer Applications Engineer, the role focuses on monitoring Physical Security Systems, managing Access Control Systems, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
